What Gratitude Is

Gratitude is more than an expected action. It comes not from a sense of "ought," a sense of obligation. Gratitude is a joyous response of the heart, willingly given. In fact, gratitude is something that bubbles up and cannot be stopped.  Gratitude springs from the kind of feelings that make some folks in worship say, "If I don’t shout I’ll bust!" Gratitude, praise and thanksgiving is the normal life of God’s people. Gratitude takes joy in just thinking of how it will be expressed.

Gratitude is a choice. It is a choice to see things differently. When choosing to be grateful you are focusing on all the things that are good or right in your life as opposed to the things that are not

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
~ Ephesians 5:21 ~
